The formula 104-109 detained in Ukraine for 37 Ukrainian hostages detained by the pro-Russian militants is considered for the next exchange. Viktor Medvedchuk, the Ukrainian envoy in the humanitarian subdivision of Minsk group claimed this as BBC reported.
‘For today, 104-109 people are identified among those searched at the Ukrainian territory by the self-proclaimed republics. 37 people are identified among those searched by Ukraine at the uncontrolled territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. It is the numbers that are the issue of the negotiations that are not stopped even for a minute’, Medvedchuk claimed.
As we reported earlier, the last big exchange of prisoners took place in Donbas on Dec. 27. Then, 73 Ukrainians were released in exchange for 233 militants. The parties discussed the possibility of the next one and submitted the lists of individuals on Jan. 18 in Minsk.
Also, on March 2, Bohdan Martson and Igor Dziubak, the employees of the State Border Service kidnapped by the Russian special services in October 2017, were returned to Ukraine. In its turn, Ukraine transferred Vladimir Kuznetsov and Askar Kuluba, the soldiers of FSB Border Guard Service detained in 2017 in Kherson region to the Russian side.
