On February 12, the Trilateral Contact Group on the peaceful settlement of the situation in Donbas during the Minsk talks “practically agreed” on the next area for the separation of forces and equipment near Hnutove village of Donetsk region. Darka Olifer, the spokesperson for the second Ukrainian president and Ukraine's Trilateral Contact Group envoy Leonid Kuchma, wrote on her Facebook the Minsk meeting of the group on Wednesday, February 12.

"One of the disengagement sites near the populated locality of Hnutove, which was earlier proposed by the Ukrainian side, has effectively been determined; work on the approval of other sites is underway. The parties focused on the necessity of ensuring a complete and comprehensive ceasefire, which is currently being violated by illegal armed units in certain districts of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions," reads the message.

She also noted that since the beginning of the year, the OSCE SMM patrols have not been allowed to the territory of certain districts of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions 146 times. At the same time, the Ukrainian side insists on ensuring the complete security of the mission’s employees throughout Ukraine, as provided for by its mandate.
