Both militants and the Armed Forces of Ukraine expressed the intention to cease fire

A next ceasefire entered its force at midnight in the combat area in the East of Ukraine.

The regime of suspension of hostilities was agreed a day earlier. Both militants and the Armed Forces of Ukraine expressed the intention to cease fire.

Ukrainian side of the  Joint Control and coordination center released a statement, saying that the Armed Forces of Ukraine got an order to cease fire since June 1.

"Ukraine’s Armed Forces management ordered to all level commanders to stop shelling fire from any kinds of weapon and armament since midnight on June 1 till midnight on June 2, 2017. However, in case of evolution from the enemy’s side of threat to lives of military men and civilians, and in case of attempt to change the existing contact line, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are in full combat readiness to use arms,” reads the message of the Joint Control and Coordination Center.
