Names of died on firing range in Rivne revealed

The names of the people who died as a result of a mortar launchers explosion on a firing range in Rivne region were made public, as the press office of Zakarpattia Regional Draft Office reported on Facebook.

Thus, the names of the died are:

Captain Valery Tykhonovsky, the Commander of the mortar battery of the А1778 military unit, born in 1978.

Soldier Dmytro Vlasov, senior mortar gunner of the first mortar platoon of the А1778 military unit mortar battery, born in 1996.

Yury Pyshkar, the soldier of the first mortar platoon of the А1778 military unit mortar battery, born in 1975.

The members of the draft office extend condolences to the parents and families of the died.

As we reported earlier, a dreadful incident occurred in Rivne region, northern Ukraine, with three Ukrainian army servicemen killed and nine more wounded. According to Ivan Arefyev, the head of the press center of the Armed Forces HQ, the accident occurred at about 6 a.m. The tragedy occurred during the tactical exercise on the firing range in Rivne region, where three soldiers deceased and nine suffered wounds of various degrees of severity.

Later, the Defense Ministry specified that the death toll climbed to four. The authority confirmed that the reason was the violation of safety measures. According to Hennadiy Moskal, Zakarpattia region governor, the deceased men served with the 128th Detached Mountain Infantry Brigade; another four sustained wounds, he said.
