More than 400 civilians suffered in the result of the armed Donbas Conflict since the beginning of 2017. Principal Deputy Chief Monitor of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine Alexander Hug claimed this at the briefing at the Ukrainian Crisis Media Center.
'The OSCE SMM spotted 5892 violations of the ceasefire regime last week. The total amount of the violations since the beginning of 2017 is more than 325 000. Almost 27 000 of these attacks were made with the usage of the banned arms. The number of the victims (died and injured) among the civilians outnumbers 400 people in 2017', the message said.
It was reported that 388 civilians became the victims of the Donbas Conflict as at September 2017. 68 of them died and 320 were injured. 19% of them are children. The OSCE also noted that the number of the explosions in the zone of the armed Donbas Conflict decreased in three times during the last month.
