43 civilians suffered in the result of the Donbas Conflict since the beginning of 2018. The Principal Deputy Chief Monitor of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine Alexander Hug said this as Ukrainian News reported.
It is noted that 11 civilians died and 32 were wounded in 2018 due to the combat actions.
‘The OSCE SMM checks information on other possible victims and it is not excluded that their number will increase’, Hug noted.
Earlier UN reported that at least 2, 523 civilians died since the beginning of the armed Donbas Conflict (April 14, 2014 – November 15, 2017). According to the information, there are 1399 men, 837 women, 91 boys, 47 girls and 149 unidentified people among the perished. Also, 298 civilians that died in the result of the MH17 plane crash were included in this list.
Also, the UN reported on 161 victims of armed conflict among the civilian population: 26 people were killed and 135 people were wounded (a little more than a half of all cases are related to shelling).
