There are 1 million and 65 881 temporarily displaced persons in Ukraine since the beginning of the antiterrorist operation in the Eastern Ukraine. Among them 177 285 children and 503 548 people with disabilities and the elderly. Most of them came from the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, 22 815 people registered as those who came from the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol city. It is reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees calls on Ukraine to develop a program of compensation to IDPs for destroyed and lost housing. UN also appeals to Ukraine not to discriminate internally displaced persons in the payment of pensions.
In addition, more than 800 citizens of Ukraine, permanently residing in the temporarily occupied territories, and receiving payments from the state budget as the settlers were denied in those payments.
