Tomorrow, February 1, political, humanitarian and security subdivisions of the Minsk trilateral contact group will meet in the Belarusian capital to discuss the latest developments in the conflict zone in eastern Ukraine.
Dmitriy Mironchik, the press secretary of the Belarusian foreign ministry, said this as quoted by Interfax news agency.
The meetings are to take place in the morning.
Most recently, the state of emergency was declared in Avdiivka, where the militants continue to shell Ukrainian positions from mortars and artillery systems. Both parties to the conflict take casualties, as well as civilians who also suffer the consequences of the ongoing shelling. Local authorities are ready for possible massive evacuation of civilians from this area.
On Monday, January 30, Avdiivka was cut off from water and electricity supplies, as well as from heating.
