Ministry of Defense: Militants didn’t use prohibited weapons

The militants did not use the prohibited by the Minsk agreements weapons for the last day. Oleksandr Motuzyanyk, the Speaker of the Ministry of Defense on JFO Issues claimed this during a briefing, 112 Ukraine reports.

Meanwhile, ignoring the announced ceasefire regime on July 1, the militants were shelling the Ukrainian positions using grenade launchers, heavy machine guns, small arms and ICV weapons.

The militants opened fire at midnight and kept it for all day in the Luhansk direction. The Ukrainian side noted 16 shelling near Stannytsa Luhanska, Pivdenne, Svitlodarsk, Krymske, and Novoluhanske.

They were opening fire for ten times in the direction of Donetsk. The defenders of Shyrokyne, Avdiivka, Novotroitske, Talakivka, and Vodyane were shelled by rocket and automatic grenade launchers, small arms and heavy machineguns. The militants used weapons of ICV near Talakivka.

Ukrainian troops also have been opening return fire for three times using infantry cannon.

Reported that a Ukrainian soldier was wounded by stepping on an unknown explosive device. As of now, he is hospitalized. His health condition is assessed as moderate.
