Today, May 3, the so-called "Military Tribunal of DPR" sentenced Donetsk scientist and religious scholar Ihor Kozlovskyy to two years and eight months in prison. This was reported by his son Oleksandr on Facebook.
"The so-called court argued that Kozlovskyy was highly unreliable citizen as he had contacts with a number of organizations prohibited in "DPR", particularly members of "Svoboda" party in 2014. We can only hope for a wide public support and effective actions of Ukrainian authorities and international organizations in the process of freeing Ihor Kozlovskyy," Oleksandr wrote.
It is noteworthy that neither age of the scientist, nor his disabled son, dependent on him, were not taken into account as mitigating circumstances.
Son also thanked everybody who took part in #FreeKozlovskyy action and disseminated information regarding this situation.
