Militants use mortar launchers again, - Defence Ministry

Over the past 24 hours, the situation on the demarcation line remains without changes, yet the militants started using Minsk-banned weapons again, as Dmytro Hutsulyak, the Defence Ministry Spokesperson on JFO, said at the briefing, 112.ua reports.

According to the Ministry, the militants performed 12 attacks in Luhansk sector. In particular, the Ukrainians troops came under fire near Troitske, Krymaske, Pivdenne, Hovoluhanske, Svitlodarsk and Katerynivka. They used grenade launchers of various types and heavy machine guns. Besides, Russian occupation troops were shooting at Krymske in the morning and at Novgorodske in the evening from infantry fighting vehicles.

18 adjusted fires were documented in Donetsk sector. The militants used grenade launchers and heavy machine guns against the defenders of Shyrikyne, Vodyane, Avdiivka, Novoselivka, Novotroitske, Bogdanivka, Lebedynske and Kamyanka.

Besides, the militants applied 82-mm mortar launchers and anti-tank weapon near Shyrokyne.

The enemy’s sniper was working near Krasnohorivka.

In total, the militants performed 30 attacks over the past 24 hours, 27 of which were adjusted. One Ukrainian soldier was injured as a result. For now, he is evacuated, his condition is satisfactory.

Earlier, on June 5 the militants did not use the banned weapon.
