Militants threaten to stop coal supplies

Ukraine will not give up coal and metal from the occupied territories, - Vadym Chernysh

All the autumn period militants in the occupied territories of Donbas were racketeering Ukraine threatening they will not supply coal. This was reported by the Minister on temporarily occupied territories and IDPs of Ukraine Vadym Chernysh on air of Channel 5.

“Ukraine will not give up coal and metal from the occupied territories. It is our coal and our metal, why should we give up on it. This are Ukrainian valuables that belong to Ukraine, and not to someone there, or Russian Federation, ” the Minister emphasized.

 “Militants threatened that they will not supply coal the entire autumn, created the obstacles in coal supplying and, unfortunately, it could lead to power outages throughout Ukraine. But due to Minsk platform for negotiations, we could agree that coal will be transported from the uncontrolled territories, “he added.

Earlier it was reported that coal stocks grow in Ukraine, reported Energy Minister. In conditions of low temperatures, coal is not only burned, but also accumulated, according to Ihor Nasalyk.
