The occupant 'authorities' on the temporarily occupied territories in Donbas have been closing schools, colleges and other education institutions, as ordered by the Russian government. Lyudmyla Denisova, Ukraine's parliamentary ombusdman reported that on June 15.
According to the official, five schools will be closed in Luhansk, Antratsyt, Slovyanoserbsk, Krasnyi Luch and Sverdlovsk; three more schools will be reorganized. This, Denisova said, will obliterate the rights of children who reside in the occupied areas and can't move to Ukraine-controlled territory.
"I call on the UN Monitoring Mission for Human Rights in Ukraine and the OSCE SMM in Ukraine to respond to the facts of violation of children rights for education on the temporarily occupied territories of Luhansk and Donetsk regions", Denisova concluded.
Earlier, OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Ann Linde stated that the conflict in Donbas is one of the largest threats to European security. She made such a statement during her visit to Ukraine as the Embassy of Sweden to Ukraine reported.
