The Ukrainian side of the Joint Coordination and Control Center (JCCC) reports mortar shelling of the force-separation territory in Zolote-4 area. The Joint Forces Operation (JFO) HQ press center reports this on Facebook.

"Today, the occupying forces again fired at withdrawal-of-forces area No. 2 in the direction of Zolote-4 settlement from a 82-mm mortar," the statement said.

Also, according to the JCCC, on October 4, enemy shellings from 82 mm caliber mortars prohibited by the Minsk agreements were recorded near Zaitseve, Pivnichne, Krymske, Luhanske, and Novoluhansk.

"The Ukrainian side of the JCCC immediately reported incidents to the representatives of the OSCE SMM and mentioned the facts of gross violations of the established ceasefire," the report says.

Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and government officials discussed the security situation in Donbas, in particular in the Zolote and Petrovske settlements, where troop withdrawal is planned. This was announced by the President’s Office on its Facebook page.

The President noted that the issue of security of Ukrainians and peace in the east of the state is currently a priority for him. In addition, he noted that the benefits for the military will not be canceled, and in the budget for next year financing of social security for them should be planned.

"It is expected that next week, government officials will visit Petrovske, Zolotoe and Staniytsia Luhanska to personally make sure that the locals are not in danger," the statement said.

At a meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group on Tuesday, October 1, the parties agreed to begin the withdrawal of troops in Zolotoe (Luhansk region) and Petrovske (Donetsk region).
