Russian-backed militants shell Zaitseve residential sector in Donbas

A dwelling house in Zaitseve, Donetsk region, came under fire from the occupants, as Joint Forces Operation press office reported on Facebook.

“On February 8, attack from Minsk-banned weapons, 82mm mortars, in particular, was performed from Golmovsky at Zaitseve, Donetsk region,” the message says.

It was reported that Ukraine’s patrol of the monitoring group of the Joint Centre of Control and Coordination has received a message, which said that a shell hit a residential yard.

“The monitoring group of the Ukrainian side of the Joint Centre of Control and Coordination recorded damage of the yard and a shell hole with a diameter up to 1,5 meters three meters away from the dwelling house. It was confirmed that an 82mm shell made a hole. Fortunately, a 48-year-old owner of the house was not in the yard during the attack,” the HQ informed.

As it was reported, militants attacked Ukraine’s positions in Donbas combat zone with mortars and heavy machine guns.
