Militants shelled two villages in Donetsk region that cause considerable damage. Two villages were damaged - Olhynka and Hrafske, reports the press service of the local police.
The photos of the consequences of the shelling were posted.
"A whole street was damaged in Olhynka village – 12 houses. The shelling lasted from 02:00 to 04:00 am. People spent the whole night in the basements. Round 05:00 the shells hit Hrafske village: dormitory for students of the Forestry College was damaged. Police works at the sites of the shelling. In Olhynka village near Volnovakha Tsentralna street was under the fire of the militants. Here every house is damaged – walls, windows, roofs. As a result of the shelling, a substation was damaged, 140 houses remained without electricity. When the shells started falling in the middle of the village, the residents were forced to leave the houses and hide in the basements," the police reports.
There were no casualties. The information on victims and damages is being confirmed.
Police opened criminal case under Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (terrorist act).
Earlier it was reported about the artillery fire in Mariupol sector in Donbas. 67 attacks reported over the last 24 hours, according to Ukrainian military’s HQ.
