South Donbas water pipeline came under attack; the incident took place in the evening of October 4. Joint Control and Coordination Centre reported that on Thursday.
Soon after the attack, the media ran by the so-called Donetsk People’s Republic reported that the pipeline, located near Vasylivka village, to the north of Yasynuvata, Donetsk region, took damage due to heavy machinegun and RPG fire, which was launched allegedly by Ukrainian troops in this area. However, the Ukrainian side denied that information, proving that the attack took place in the premises held by the Russian mercenaries.
The pipeline is one of the most important objects in the region’s water supply system. 400,000 local residents receive water from this pipeline.
