During the last day on October 14, the militants shelled Joint Forces Operation (JFO) positions 23 times, as a result, three Ukrainian servicemen received injuries. The press office of the Joint Forces Operation reported this on Facebook.
‘Russian occupants opened fire at the positions of our forces 23 times. Yet, the enemy used weapons prohibited by the Minsk Agreements four times,’ reads the message.
The rival performed aimed fire from 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns, and small arms. The shelling recorded in the area of settlements Krymske, Zolote, Katerynivka, Luhanske, Novoluhanske, Avdiivka, Pisky, Marinka, Novotroitske, Bohdanivka, Pavlopil, Hruntove, Vodiane, Lebedyske, and Shyrokyne. The strongholds of our forces near Luhanske, Novoluhanske, Hnutove, and Vodiane were shelled from 82mm mortars.
‘Three servicemen of the Joint Forces received injuries during the hostilities,’ the HQ reported.
According to the reconnaissance, two occupants were eliminated and four injured over the day.
From the beginning of the day, the enemy shelled our positions in the area of settlements Avdiivka, Lebedyske, and Shyrokyne, using grenade launchers, heavy machine guns, and small arms. Heavy weapons haven’t been used. One serviceman of the JFO was injured.
Reportedly, serviceman from Poltava region Andrii Korna died in Donetsk sector in the Joint Forces Operation zone on Friday, October 12.
