Militants shell eleven times in Donbas conflict area

Militants performed eleven armed provocations in Donbas during the past 24 hours. The illegal armed formations used weapons forbidden by Minsk agreement twice. This was reported by the Defense Ministry of Ukraine.

In Donetsk region, militants shelled Ukrainian positions 7 times. The enemy attacked Avdiivka, Talakivka, Pavlopil, Lebedynske, Bohdanivka and Pyshchevyk from grenade launchers of various caliber, heavy-caliber machine gun and small arms.

In Luhansk region, the occupants shelled 4 times, hitting Novozvanivka from 120 mm caliber mortars. The enemy shelled Novooleksandrivka from IFV and grenade launchers of various caliber, and attacked Krymske from anti-tank missile systems.

There were no casualties among the Joint Forces military servicemen.

According to the JFO headquarters, one militants was killed and another five- injured.

As it was reported earlier, Ukrainian soldier Serhiy Shershak died in Donbas at the beginning of May. The man was buried on May 4, in a cemetery in his native village.

From the beginning of May 4, the pro-Russian militants violated the ceasefire nine times and used weapons of prohibited calibers in Donbas conflict zone.
