Illegal armed groups shelled Ukrainian positions twice since the beginning of the day on October 3. As a result of the attacks, two Ukrainian soldiers of Ukraine’s Armed Forces were injured. Anatoly Stelmakh, the spokesman for the Ukraine’s Army headquarters, said this in an exclusive comment to 112 Ukraine TV channel.
"Since the beginning of this day, two attacks of our positions have been recorded: in Avdiivka industrial zone, where the enemy used heavy machine guns and small arms, and at about 1:00 the enemy opened fire near Hnutove from the grenade launchers. Our military responded to the enemy from grenade launchers. As a result of this confrontation, two our servicemen were injured," he said.
According to him, information about the victims among civilians due to yesterday's shelling of residential areas is being specified.
"According to preliminary data, there are no casualties among the local population," Stelmakh said.
Regarding the condition of the wounded fighters, he added:
"People who were injured today are hospitalized and our best medical specialists are now treating them."
As it was reported earlier since day start, illegal armed groups in Donbas conflict zone have violated the ceasefire regime 17 times. Considering the threat to life, Ukrainian soldiers opened fire 12 times. There were no casualties among servicemen of Ukraine’s Armed Forces as a result of hostilities, as the press center of Ukraine’s Army HQ reported.
