Militants shell 21 times in Donbas, four Ukrainian soldiers killed

Militants shelled Ukrainian positions 21 times during the past 24 hours in Donbas. Four Ukrainian soldiers were killed, another three were wounded as a result of the attack. This was reported by the ATO headquarters press service in Facebook.

“The past day in Donbas conflict zone culminated again in increased shelling of Ukrainian positions by illegal armed forces ... Throughout the day, illegal armed formations violated the truce 21 times. Four of our soldiers were killed, three were injured. ATO forces opened fire 13 times in response,” the message says.

In Luhansk area, militants shelled ATO positions in Novozvanivka from the IFV weaponry, in Novooleksandrivka - from grenade launchers and heavy machine guns, in Stanytsia Luhanska - from small arms. Around 6 pm near the Novotoshkivsk village, three Ukrainian soldiers were killed by an unknown explosive device, three others were injured.

In Mariupol area the enemy shelled Ukrainian positions in Vodyane and Hnutove from grenade launchers. Also, around 20:00 militants shelled Hnutove from 82 mm mortars.

In Donetsk area militants shelled in the outskirts of Avdiivka from grenade launchers and small arms. Around 23:00 the militants shelled ATO positions in Pisky using 120-mm mortar, and in Luhansk - IFV armament.

Militants resumed shelling of residential area in Mariinka from large-caliber machine guns at about 19:00, and shelled Zaitseve village from grenade launchers at 22:00, - the message says.

As it was reported earlier militants shelled Mariinka living blocks in Donbas. One Ukrainian soldier died due to the shelling in Mariinka.
