Militants returned the body of deceased fighter of Azov battalion Roman Romanenko, who died three days ago to Ukraine, as the press office of the battalion reported.

“Unfortunately, we could make the official announcement three days after the tragedy. The enemy did not want to return the body of the fighter all these days,” the message reads.

The representatives of the battalion noted that Azov fighters have tried to evacuate the body of deceased Roman three times, but attacks from militants’ side impeded it.

It was stated that the militants took away Roman’s body covering their group with fire at the Ukrainian side. Ukraine received the body as a result of the previously scheduled exchange.
