A hundred mercenaries from Wagner Group, the private military company from Russia, may soon arrive in the occupied Donbas. The press service of Ukraine's SBU, state security service reported this on Tuesday evening.

'Russian special services continue to use the Wagner Group mercenaries to escalate the military actions in eastern Ukraine. According to the SBU, about a hundred militants from Wagner Group will reach the temporarily occupied Donetsk so as to support 'Donetsk People's Republic,' the authority reported. 

Earlier, the SBU determined the identities of 26 Russian officers who were “seconded” as drill instructors in Wagner Group. Russian career military servicemen conducted tactical, firearms, engineering and artillery training, tank crews training, training for those driving infantry fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers and anti-air defense systems.

The Wagner Group has been involved in Donbas conflict since May 2014 till August 2015. Then, they moved to Syria, assisting the Syrian army in a number of combat operations.
