The OSCE SMM representatives monitored the situation at the western outskirts of Mariinka controlled by Ukraine (23 km south-west from Donetsk) on January 22 as the repair of Krasnohorivka gas-metering station took place there.
The OSCE observers saw a man with bandages at the lumbar who was moving to the ambulance car.
The next day, they met this man in the hospital in Pokrovsk city (controlled by Ukraine, 55 km north-west from Donetsk).
A 29-year-old man said that he is a member of the Mine Action Unit of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. He was near Krasnohorivka gas-metering station during the holding of the repair works on January 22. He said the representatives of the Emergency Service that he heard the attacks. Then a bullet hit him.
The doctors said to the OSCE observers that a man with a bullet wound was transferred from the hospital to Kurakhovo (controlled by Ukraine, 40 km west from Donetsk) in the evening of January 22.
As we reported a sapper of the pyrotechnic unit of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Donetsk region sustained injuries.
According to the data from UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission, from 12,800 up to 13,000 people died since the beginning of Donbas Conflict (April 2014 - end of 2018).
