Donbas conflict: Russian invaders deprive 223 people of freedom

223 people are illegally deprived of freedom by the militants in Donbas. Another 258 people considered to be missing, as Radio Liberty reported.

“According to the information of the Joint Center of Coordination search, release of illegally deprived of freedom people in the zone of the events on the provision of the national security and defense, deterrence of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, 258 people considered to be disappeared, 223 people are illegally deprived of freedom,” the Security Service of Ukraine reported.

The last exchange of prisoners between Ukraine and the Russian mercenaries took place on December 27, 2017.

Earlier, we reported that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and leader of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin agreed to reactivate cooperation on release of detained people.

Besides, President of France Emmanuel Macron agreed with Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky on the necessity of Normandy Format meeting after the escalation in Donbas tied with the death of four military.
