Seven employees of the penitentiary system of “Donetsk People’s Republic” were arrested earlier this year, another 15 are wanted", according to the Head of Ukraine’s National Police in Donetsk region Vyacheslav Abroskin. He wrote this on Facebook page.

"The jailers who sided with the terrorists are criminals. They will not escape responsibility for crimes they committed. Since the beginning of 2016 to the present time seven employees of the penitentiary system of “DPR” were arrested, another 15 are wanted," he wrote.

Abroskin also gave some examples from the life of colonies located in the "DPR". In Zhdanivska colony, according to him, a "legal drug trafficking" operates: narcotics are delivered here and "just like in a supermarket, the prisoners buy them." The colony also serves as a sewing department tailoring military uniforms for militants.

Makiyivka colony is used by militants "DPR" as a place where they put Ukraine's Armed Forces soldiers and "guilty" militants.

In Yenakiyevo colony criminals who have committed particularly grave crimes or sentenced for life are given "amnesty" - the release from prison in exchange for a "service" in illegal armed forces of "DPR," Abroskin said.

Earlier it was reported that militants shelled ATO positions 26 times during the day and night. The enemy’s fire was concentrated mainly in Mariupol and Donetsk directions.
