"Illegal groups in occupied Donbas continue to use sniper weapons: on December 21, 2017, for about 15 hours, snipers were firing at the Ukrainian Armed Forces positions near Krymske (Luhansk region)," the report said.
It is also reported that the sniper fire from the side of the occupied Donbas was conducted from the village of Sokolniki (Luhansk region), simultaneously with provocative attacks from large-caliber small arms and AGS.
"Ukrainian side of the Joint Center for Control and Cooperation condemns such actions of the illegal armed formations of the occupied Donbas, which endanger the life and health of the civilian population, worsen the humanitarian situation and escalate the armed conflict in the Donbas," the press center added.
As it was reported earlier pro-Russian mercenaries unilaterally continue the working hours of checkpoints in eastern Ukraine. This may cause life hazard for those crossing the division line.
