Militants fire at residential houses in Donbas from heavy artillery

The pro-Russian militants shelled residential houses at Zolote-1 settlement in the Popasnyansky district of Luhansk region. This is reported by the JFO headquarters.

"The Ukrainian side of the Joint Coordination Center informs about the continuation of shelling of civilian settlements along the demarcation line by the Russian Federation armed formations. Systematic shelling by the Russian-occupation forces constantly pose a threat to the lives of the civilian population and damage the civil infrastructure of Donbas," the report said.

Illegal armed groups reportedly used 122 caliber artillery systems.

At the scene of the shelling, six fresh holes from artillery shells of caliber 122 at a distance of about 60 meters from the road reported.

It is noted that a school and a college are located nearby, that it is along this road that adults and children walk daily.

As a result of the shelling no casualties reported.
Over the previous day, Russian militants attacked Ukrainian positions in Donbas 7 times, including four times they used the Minsk-banned weaponry. One Ukrainian soldier was wounded, as the result of the attack. The press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported.

In the Donetsk region, the enemy opened fire at the positions of the Joint Forces operation three times. They fired with 120 mm mortar, easel anti-tank grenade launchersnear Pavlopol village, with automatic easel grenade launhcers near Novotroitske settlement, with heavy machine guns and small arms near Hnutove village.

In Luhansk region, the pro-Kremlin militants fired at the Ukrainian positions four times. They fired twice with the 122 mm and 82 mm artillery system near Zolote-4 village, with 82 mm mortar near Novgorodske settlement and with grenade launchers of various systems near Krymske settlement.
