Militants of the self-styled Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republic keep service workers away from preparing the local infrastructure to the heating season. The Joint Control and Coordination Centre (JCCC), consisting of Ukrainian and Russian military officers, reported that on Friday morning.
The mercenaries cannot guarantee safety of utility service workers, who conduct repairing works on the division line in Donetsk and Luhansk regions. This is the particular reason why locals may be cut off from the centralized heating system – even before the winter comes.
‘Six schools, five kindergartens and 26,000 residents of Mariinka and the neighboring Krasnohorivka (Donetsk region) will be cut off the heating system and regular gas supplies – due to the actions of the local ‘administration’. The authorities in the occupied areas of Luhansk region left people without heating as well; a school in Krymske, a hospital and two schools in Toshkivka, a kindergarten and a school in Nyzhne stay cut off from the gas supplies,’ the JCCC says.
The Centre warns that certain civilian infrastructure objects cannot be prepared for heating season after the winter comes.
