The pro-Russian militants banned OSCE representatives to enter the temporarily occupied territories once again. The patrol of the mission wanted to enter the territory near Verhnioshyrokivske as the JFO HQ reported.
It is noted, that this checkpoint is the entrance to the area with the ban for the deployment of heavy weapons and military hardware.
“At the checkpoint near Verhnioshyrokivske, since December 2019 until today, the representatives of the mission spotted 40% from the total number of the restrictions on freedom of movement of the mission’s patrol in the mentioned area,” the message said.
The HQ believes that such actions may aim for movement and preparation of the troops.
As we reported, the pro-Russian militants shelled the positions of Ukrainian military twice in Donbas. They used the weapon with banned calibers.
As of noon, January 8, there were no ceasefire violations in Donbas combat area - since the beginning of the day.
Recently, we reported that the Ukrainian side did not withdraw its anti-aircraft missile systems 9KZZ Osa. The OSCE claimed that this is a violation of the Minsk agreements, but Joint Forces Operation staff denies it.
