Particularly, the militants continue the attempts to frame the Ukrainian military with attacks on the settlements in the occupied territory of Donbas.
The HQ provides a recent example that occurred in the suburb of Patriotychne. The OSCE SMM spotted two craters there on July 3.
“Approximately 300 m further, Mission’s team saw two broken windows at the rural construction, perhaps from the dispersion of fragments. According to their estimation, the craters appeared in the result of the explosion of a 122 mm artillery shell launched from the western and the northwestern direction.
It is worth to note that, according to tactic and technical characteristics of 112mm artillery systems, their maximal range of use is 15,300 meters and it shows the impossibility of the use of the artillery of this caliber from particular places of storage,” the message said.
Moreover, the same day, OSCE SMM spotted two hull breaches, which appeared in the result of the explosion of 120mm mortar shells in the occupied Azov. They were supposedly launched from the western direction.
“The Ukrainian side of the Joint Coordination Center notes that the armament banned by Minsk Agreement stays near disengagement area No.19, near Mariupol. Accordingly, this situation can be treated as another attempt of the Russian occupation troops to discredit the Armed Forces of Ukraine. All these attacks were performed by the enemy as a provocation”.
On June 26, it was reported that the first stage of the withdrawal of Ukrainian units under the supervision of the OSCE mission took place in the Stanytsia Luhanska.
Later it was reported that the disengagement of troops in Stanytsia Luhanska is an improvement of the Armed Forces in this section of the combat area.
On June 28, the OSCE SMM observers confirmed that the withdrawal of the troops took place near Stanytsia Luhanska, from both sides, Armed Forces of Ukraine and militants.
