Four days ago a Ukrainian serviceman disappeared in Donbas. Headquarters of the Joint Forces Operation stated that he had been captured by local militants. This was reported by the JFO’s press service on Facebook.

"On December 17, 2020, the absence of one of the unit's servicemen, which perform tasks in the area of ​​the Joint Forces operation, was revealed during the inspection of the units' personnel. The search did not yield a positive result," the statement said.

It is currently established that the serviceman was detained by the enemy forces.

"Representatives of the Russian occupation forces are trying to cynically use this fact in order to discredit the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The circumstances of the incident are being clarified," the headquarters noted.

As we reported earlier, yesterday, on December 20, Russian militants used an SPG-9 grenade launcher to open fire in the vicinities of Kamyanka, Donetsk region.

They hit a John Deere tractor that was on its way back from farming operations.
