Militants attacked 66 times, five Ukrainian soldiers wounded

Illegal armed groups continue to violate Minsk agreement

Situation in ATO zone remains tense. Russia-backed illegal armed groups opened fire on Ukrainian fighters 66 times. Almost a third of the violations was conducted from heavy artillery weapons. Invaders attacked one of the frontline settlements. Five Ukrainian military officers were wounded as a result of hostilities. This was reported by ATO HQ on Facebook.

In Mariupol direction, enemy opened fire 28 times over past day. Positions near Hranitne, Chermalyk and Shyrokyne were attacked from 120 mm mortars. Occupants also fired tank at Shyrokyne. Beyond that, invaders attacked Novoselivka Druha from 122 mm artillery. Grenade launchers and small arms were fired at Ukrainian positions near Pavlopil, Slavne, Hnutove, Taramchuk, Talakivka, Vodiane, Marinka, Krasnohorivka.

Russia-backed armed groups fired mortars, banned by Minsk agreement, at residential area near Berdyanske. Roof and ceiling of one of the houses at Morska Street were destroyed as a result of shelling. One of the buildings went on fire after projectile hit. Several structures located near the epicenter of explosion were also heavily damaged. Fortunately, there were no victims among civilian population.

In Donetsk direction, militants attacked ATO strongholds near Avdiivka and Kalynove usning 152 mm artillery systems. Enemy also fired tank, mortars of various calibers and infantry weapons at Avdiivka. Strongholds near Novhorodske suffered mortar fire. Ceasefire violations were also recorded in Verkhnyotoretske, Zaytseve, Kamianka, Novoselivka, Novoluhanske. Occupants used the whole arsenal of non-artillery weaponry there — anti-tank missile systems, IFV and APC arms, grenade launchers of various modifications, heavy machine guns and small arms. 17 enemy provocations were reported in the area overall.

In Luhansk direction, 21 attacks occurred. Situation became complicated when positions near Krymske and Katerynivka were repeatedly attacked by the enemy from 120 mm mortars, grenade launchers and heavy machine guns. Ukrainian strongholds near Troitske, Trokhizbenka and Staryi Aidar suffered mortar fire. Militants also attacked Stanytsia Luhanska, Novooleksandrivka and Donets using infantry weapons and IFV arms.
