The militants attacked residential areas in Pivdenne, Donetsk region, as the message of the Joint Center on Control and Coordination of ceasefire and stabilization of the demarcation line says.
The militants used Minsk-banned weapons. According to the representatives of the centre, the attack on Pivdenne was carried out from 8:45 pm till 10:00 pm on August 12, using 120-mm mortars and SPG-9 rocket-propelled grenade launchers.
“As a result of the attack, residential and livelihood structures were destroyed. The well-timed actions of Ukraine’s Armed Forces military prevented casualties among the civilians, who were evacuated,” the message says.
Military Prosecution and OSCE SMM representatives were immediately informed about the attack.
Earlier, over the past 24 hours, on August 12, the militants performed 57 attacks at the positions of the Joint Forces Operation, as a result – two soldiers were wounded.
