DNR militants opened fire on Maryinka, having shelled the streets of the town, according to the press service of Donetsk Police.
The militants started firing at around 4 pm, and a few streets ended up being under attack. There is information about seven damaged buildings. Police is working on site.
The police added that the information about the injured and the damage is being clarified.
Later on, it has been clarified that the attack started at around 2 pm. Luckily, no casualties occured.
It has been a while since the Russia-backed militants attacked towns in Donbas. Usually they attack Ukrainian Army positions, and not civilian settlements.
