Militants shell school in occupied Horlivka

The Ukrainian military is not involved in the shelling of a school and living houses

Pro-Russian militants shelled the school building in occupied Horlivka using heavy machine guns as HQ of the Joint Forces Operation reported on Facebook citing the OSCE.

The attack took place in the evening on August 5. Moreover, the militants hit the dwelling houses.

According to the OSCE, the JFO detachments are not involved in these attacks.

“Having carefully considered the distance, profile, tactic and technical characteristics of the mentioned weapon, we state that the character of the form of the relief of this location makes a closed profile and excluded any possibility of the attack of the mentioned objects. Moreover, according to the Ukrainian side of the Joint Center on Control and Coordination, on mentioned day and direction, the attacks of the Joint Forces did not take place and the Ukrainian military did not open fire in response. It is also should be noted that the request on imposing of the ceasefire regime was not provided by the OSCE SMM,” the message said.

The Ukrainian military continues to stick to the ceasefire regime.

As we reported, Russian invaders landed nine attacks on Ukrainian positions on August 8. One more attack was conducted in the small hours of August 9.
