Militants’ statement on creation of “Malorossiya” contradicts with the aim of Minsk agreement on reintegration of separate regions of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The press officer of the EU said that in his commentary to UNIAN.
“This contradicts the aim of the Minsk agreement on reintegration of separate regions of Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine. The European Union supports the ongoing diplomatic efforts in order to move towards full implementation of Minsk agreement, which is the basis of the sustainable political settlement of the conflict,” the EU press officer announced.
As we reported the leader of the so-called Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Alexander Zakharchenko claimed about the creation of the new state Malorossiya. However the Head of the People’s Council of LPR Vladimir Degtyarenko claimed that the militants did not participate in the discussion of the creation of Malorossiya. The world leaders commented the statement, among them Ukrainian President Poroshenko, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin, German authorities also condemned Zakharchenko’s claim, Sebastian Kurz, OSCE Chairperson-in-Office and Austrian Foreign Minister, as well as France.
Kyiv Court of Appeal authorized detention and arrest of pro-Russian terrorist, “the head of the Council of Ministers” of the so-called “DPR” Alexander Zakharchenko.
