The fighter of the 72nd separate mechanized brigade named after Black Zaporozhtsev Maxim Khitaylov died during today's battle near the Farm Volniy in the Luhansk region. This was reported on the brigade's Facebook page.
Khitaylov was 22 years old.
"During the repulsion of the attack of the Russian armed forces on the observation post near Khutor Volny, unfortunately, the 72nd brigade forever lost a reliable comrade, combat brother, devoted soldier of Ukraine, Maksim Khitaylov," - the statement said.
Before serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, he lived and grew up in the village of Vyrishalnoe in the Poltava region. Maxim was accepted for military service under a contract in April 2019 as a grenade launcher.
