Workers of an emergency crew came under fire in the occupied section of Luhansk region on Thursday, February 14. As the employees tried to fix the power line there, the attack took place, and the works were suspended. The LLC 'LEO' reported that on Facebook.
'The maintenance works on a power line were stopped immediately; the workers had to leave the unsafe location, as it posed a grave danger to everyone. Most luckily, no one was hurt. Despite all the agreements and the presence of OSCE mirror patrol, the attack from the enemy side began at 11.30 a.m.', the message said.
Over 300 consumers are cut off the grid now.
The next round of repair works is slated for February 15 - granted that the other side provides security guarantees.
The power line in Popasna district was damaged due to the shelling on February 13. Six substations were cut off the grid because of the attack; residents of Katerynivka village are left without power supply - completely.
