Luhansk Region Administration gives details on battle actions in Donbas

A Ukrainian soldier died as a result of combat actions on August 8 in Luhansk region, four more were wounded, as the press office of Luhansk Regional State Administration reported on Facebook.

It is noted that the vehicle of the Ukrainian military was shot down from an anti-tank guided weapon.

“Yesterday evening, a vehicle of the Ukrainian soldiers was shot down near Zolote as a result of the enemy’s attack from anti-tank guided weapon. As a result of this tragedy, one of our defenders died, four more – got injuries,” the message says.

At the same time, in the morning today, the JFO HQ reported that during a combat confrontation one Ukrainian soldier died, three more were injured and one was missing – the connection with him was lost during the combat action.

Moreover, Luhansk Regional State Administration reported that over the past 24 hours and after midnight the Russian occupation troops violated ceasefire ten times along the demarcation line.

In particular, the enemy used 82-mm mortar launchers, infantry fighting vehicle, anti-tank and automatic grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms in Krymske sector.

The militants opened fire at the defenders of Novozvanivka from anti-tank and automatic grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms.

Earlier, on August 8, the militants violated ceasefire 44 times in the Joint Forces Operation zone.
