Luhansk militants pass 60 prisoners to Ukraine

Militants of the so-called Luhansk People’s Republic passed 60 prisoners to the Ukraine-controlled territories in Shchastya, as Lyudmyla Denisova, Ukraine’s Ombudsman on Human Rights, reported on Facebook.

“Thanks to the talks, 60 Ukrainians who were kept in penitentiary facilities in Luhansk region and served sentences for crimes were passed in Shchastya,” she wrote.

Ukraine’s Ombudsman informed that 195 Ukrainians were transported from the occupied territory of Luhansk since December 2018 till April 2019. 34 of them were released.

“I am ready to take all Ukrainians who want to move to Ukraine-controlled territory to continue serving their sentences,” Denisova noted.
