Lysychansk city court sentenced the local resident to four years behind the bars; the authority found him guilty of acting as the informer of LNR, the organization of Russian militants in Luhansk region. The HQ of the Joint Forces Operation reported this June 5.
The resident of Rubizhne, Luhansk region worked at a local state-run enterprise; in 2017-2018, he collected data about Ukraine's Armed Forces' fortifications, their composition and movement in the area. The man passed the gathered information to a member of the illegal armed units in Luhansk region.
The informer was detained in February 2019; however, the sentence has not been announced until now.
On June 4, Russian terrorists violated the ceasefire in eastern Ukraine 16 times. That included the use of various kinds of weapons: 82 and 120 mm mortars, IFV armament, anti-tank missile launchers, grenade launchers, heavy machine guns, automatic small arms and sniper rifles.
In Donetsk region, the enemy opened fire 11 times. Avdiivka, Opytne, Novoselivka II, Talakivka, Chermalyk, Pavlopol, Pisky and Vodyane came under fire. The most intense combat activity was observed in Avdiivka, with 120 mm mines and anti-tank missiles landing in this area.
In Luhansk region, militants fired at Ukrainian positions five times. In Krymske, they used grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms. Sniper fire was observed in Zolote-4; in Stanytsia Luhanska, the hostile fighters fired small arms.
Ukrainian forces took casualties over the mentioned period; two servicemen were killed, another three were wounded.
