Kuchma criticized Ukrainian politicians, peace negotiations process and economic state of the country

The plan is to finish settling the list of hostages and start the exchange process before the next meeting of the contact group. Leonid Kuchma, the Ukrainian representative in the Trilateral Contact Group, announced that in his speech during the international forum, broadcasted by 112 Ukraine TV channel.

According to him the list of hostages is not fully agreed.

“There are discrepancies regarding the list, but the verification process is finishes, and everyone agreed with this. There are still some discrepancies in the lists – 5-6 persons. Even small varieties are always a problem. Our, Ukrainian side, has no problems, but their list has 15-16 people more than we have in detention here. We agreed to meet the next week, on July 5, until July 5 we need to solve all the problems and start the exchange process,” he said.

Kuchma also added that the negotiators have again agreed on the next disengagement of forces near Stanytsya Luhanska.

“There is no strategic problem from the military point of view, but every side is searching for any hitches in order to slow down the process. We agreed that the next three steps shall follow,” Kuchma said.
