Pavlo Gryb, a Ukrainian political prisoner kept in Russia, wrote a letter, in which he compared himself to "trapped animal", as "Novaya Gazeta" reports.
He also wrote he suspected that the meeting with Tatiana Yershova, a teenager from Russia whom he had met on the Russian social network VKontakte, was a trap as well.
"I understand I am not guilty, but I am like a trapped animal. I blame myself only for the fact that I knew where and to whom I intended to go. I felt I was not coming back. But I haven't listened to anybody's warnings, so I went. The thing is: I do not have to suffer in vain. I could have not forseen everything. It was a trap, and I am still trapped here. Why did I go to the trap knowing that some situations would force me to do something out of the order?" Gryb wrote.
He also wrote that he needs immediate medical treatment.
Earlier, it was reported that a 20-year-old Ukrainian Pavlo Gryb needs heart surgery, his health condition was critical.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine claimed, that the Russian Federation did not allow to see the illegally detained in Russia Ukrainian Pavlo Gryb by the Ukrainian Consul.
Pavlo Gryb is the son of the former Ukrainian border guard Ihor Gryb. The Russian special service detained the 19-year-old boy on August 25, 2017, when he went to Gomel (Belarus) to meet his friend. Later, he was convoyed to Russia. The Russian law enforcers suspect Pavlo Gryb of preparing a terrorist attack at a school in Sochi (a city in Krasnodar Krai, Russia, located on the Black Sea coast, - 112 International).
