On October 16, Stepan Kril, the senior seaman of the 36th Detached Brigade of Marine Corps named after Counter-Admiral Mykhailo Belynsky, died in the zone of the Joint Forces Operation as the brigade reported on Facebook.
“With sorrow, we report about the death of our sworn brother. Yesterday, about 9 p.m., during the shelling of the positions of our defenders by the enemy, Stepan V. Kril sustained injury incompatible with life,” the message said.
According to the fellow officers, Stepan was from Luhansk region; he fought for Ukraine since 2015.
On October 16, pro-Kremlin militants violated the ceasefire regime 30 times. As a result of the attacks, one Ukrainian soldier was killed, another - injured.
Earlier OSCE SMM reported that the representatives of self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics hold the population census.
