The law 'On peculiarities of the state policy on the provision of the state sovereignty of Ukraine over occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions' possesses a number of important priorities and will work in the perspective. Pavlo Zhebrivsky, the Head of the Donetsk State Military administration reported this to 112 Ukraine.
'This law is not an overture, it is a law that will work in the perspective and it is very important', he said.
According to Zhebrivsky, the draft law includes some important issues.
'There are some important issues. Russia is recognized as the aggressor. It is the essential issue. We will come to the decision to deploy the UN peacekeepers but if Russia is recognized as the aggressor then the Russians will not be able to participate in the peacekeeping mission. It is extremely important. Also, the law changes the anti-terrorist operation into the military operation and it is important for the soldiers. And thirdly, Russia will be recognized as the aggressor since the annexation of Crimea', he added.
223 MPs supported the draft law 'On reintegration of Donbas' in the first reading in October. It was expected that the committee will finish the consideration of the draft law on November 15 and will submit the document to the Verkhovna Rada next day.
Moreover, the date of the beginning of the aggression of Russia against Ukraine was added to the draft law and it is a date of the annexation of Crimea.
