The adoption of the law on Donbas reintegration by Ukrainian parliament strengthens the stand of Ukraine at the international courts. Oleksandr Turchynov, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine claimed this as the press service of the council reported.
According to Turchynov, this law creates the legal and the organizational terms for the restoration of the territorial integrity of Ukraine in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
'Moreover, this law strengthens our stands towards the resist to the armed Russian aggression and restoration of the territorial integrity of Ukraine by extending the possibilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations', he emphasized.
Turchynov added that 'Russia clearly and unambiguously recognized as the aggressor and separate territories of Luhansk and Donetsk regions as occupied' by this law.
'It completely derails the attempts of Russia to disguise war against Ukraine under the 'peaceful operation' and significantly strengthens the stand of our country at the international courts', he noted.
As we reported the Ukrainian parliament adopted as a whole the bill on the state policy aiming to secure the sovereignty of Ukraine over the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions on January 18. 280 MPs voted 'for'.
