Law enforcers are conducting investigative actions in the House of Trade Unions at Khreshchatyk street in Kyiv, reports 112 Ukraine.

"In the house at 16 Khreshchatyk Street, which belongs to the Kiev City Council of Trade Unions, investigative actions are continuing from about 1.00 p.m. According to law enforcers, they tried to enter the premises with the director of the Association of Trade Unions, but could not do this due to resistance of unknown people who called themselves veterans of the Donbas battalion, the correspondent reports.

The situation was commented by the head of the SBU department for the protection of national statehood, Roman Matkovsky, present on the spot.

"At the moment, investigative actions are continuing in the premises by the employees of the National Police and other experts who must establish what happened in this building while it was outside the control of its owners. People here introduced themselves as veterans of the battalion Donbas. When we approached, they closed the iron gates and barricaded themselves," he said.

"According to one of the fighters of Donbas, if they had weapons, they would have used it. The fire was opened several times, and three or four grenades of tear gas were used against us, "Matkovsky said.
