Kremlin commented on the opening of monument to "heroes of Donbas" by presidential aide Vladislav Surkov in Rostov-on-Don, saying that they do not consider such an act to be discrediting Moscow's position. This was reported by the publication RBC agency.
According to the agency, Moscow does not believe that Surkov's participation in the opening ceremony of the monument discredits Russia as a mediator in the settlement of the conflict in eastern Ukraine. Putin's secretary Dmitry Peskov added that Russia "has been and remains the guarantor of the Minsk agreement."
As it was reported earlier a monument to the Russian "they are not there" was opened in Rostov-on-Don, which came with weapons in the hands to Ukrainian land and went home as "cargo 200". The grand opening of the monument named "Heroes of Donbas", took place in Ostrovsky park and was timed to the third congress of the Union of Donbas Volunteers.
The opening ceremony was attended by the head of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic, Alexander Zakharchenko, Russian president’s aide Vladislav Surkov and mayor of Rostov-on-Don, Vitaly Kushnaryov.
