Lieutenant General Serhiy Nayev, the Commander of Joint Forces operation urged Thomas Greminger, the OSCE Secretary-General to strengthen the efficiency of the OSCE SMM in occupied Donbas as the press service of the Joint Forces operation reported on Facebook.
The sides discussed the issues on the observing of the comprehensive, stable and termless cease-fire regime announced on July 1, 2018, during the meeting in Bakhmut. Moreover, Nayev familiarized Greminger with the humanitarian situation in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
“During the meeting, Lieutenant General Serhiy Nayev noted the contribution of the OSCE in the bringing peace to Donbas. At the same time, he urged Thomas Greminger to strengthen the efficiency of the OSCE SMM in Ukraine at the territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions occupied by the Russian occupation forces,” the message said.
Also, Nayev noted that the pro-Russian militants used the weaponry banned by the Minsk Agreements and constantly violate the cease-fire regime.
Earlier Ukraine’s representatives in the Trilateral Contact Group appealed to the OSCE with a request to hold an investigation of the messages on the possible stealing of the personal data of the OSCE SMM members.
As we reported the OSCE SMM in Ukraine expressed the concern that its internal documents, including the dossiers on the OSCE staff, were passed to the Russian side. It was said that they contained a lot of personal information about the OSCE workers, including the types of women they were attracted to, their financial situation and whether they were susceptible to alcohol.
Later it was specified that the OSCE SMM did not collect personal and financial information about its workers.
